Xiaomi may have managed to make a pretty killer name for itself in the Smartphone market, but outside its mainstay is yet to make any real waves. As such, one of the biggest surprises to creep out at Mobile World Congress so far this year has been that of the Mi Pro Action Camera, which appears to have the very real potential to give the likes of the GoPro a pretty big run for its money.
Not that Xiaomi’s entrant packs the same kind of high-end hardware, but with a price of less than $65, it could sell in volumes fare greater than the GoPro.
In terms of what you get for your money, the Mi Pro Action Camera packs a 16-megapixel sensor from Sony and an impressive viewing angle of 155 degrees. And while the base unit itself isn’t waterproof there’s an accessory that can be picked up that protects the thing up to a depth of 40 meters.
